Longitude LabsFormerly Meridian

Document licensing program

Your deal archive has value. We license it for AI research.

Longitude Labs pays firms for the financial documents behind past investment decisions, removes every identifier, and uses them privately to train and evaluate frontier AI models.

Start with two or three samples

A note on our name

Meridian is now Longitude Labs. Same team, same programs, new name.

01

Same team

The founders, reviewers and engineers partners have worked with are unchanged.

02

Same programs

Document research programs and partnership engagements remain in force.

03

Same standards

The redaction pipeline, security commitments and confidentiality obligations remain in force.

How a partnership works, in numbers

$25k to $500k

per partnership, depending on document types, complexity, quality of analysis and page count

1 to 3 hours

of your time in total. A quote needs 2 or 3 samples and a short inventory of the archive

7 to 10 days

from intro call to payout by wire, once the documents are reviewed and accepted

You receive a quote for the whole archive before you send it. All we need for that is 2 or 3 samples, anonymized on request, and an inventory table of what the archive contains.

What we license

Four families of financial documents qualify. Long form analysis comes first.

01

Deal and process materials

  • CIMs and CIPs, authored or received on past processes, including real estate OMs
  • Management presentations
  • Process letters, teasers and bid instructions
  • Term sheets, LOIs, fee letters and NDAs from the deal folder
  • Fairness opinions and board decks

02

Investment committee and research

  • IC memos and IC decks, first round or final
  • Initiation style write ups and long form theses
  • Sector deep dives, landscape and market sizing reports
  • Earnings reviews and thesis updates with real analysis
  • Valuation reports and fairness analyses

03

Credit and financing

  • Lender and financing presentations under 50 pages
  • Rating agency decks under 50 pages
  • Credit memos and credit committee papers
  • Financing and credit agreements, debt term sheets and commitment letters

04

Fund and diligence materials

  • QoE reports, diligence reports and financial DD summaries
  • Commercial and market due diligence studies
  • LP updates, investor letters and annual meeting decks
  • PPMs, offering memoranda, LPAs and side letters
  • Fund marketing decks, pitchbooks and completed DDQs

Not an exhaustive list. If a document carries real financial analysis, it is likely a fit. Full archives earn more than hand picked files, because the drafts, models and call notes around a deal are what the research needs. Native Word, PDF and PowerPoint files count. Scans and emails do not.

Process

Seven steps from NDA to payout. You know the price before you send the archive.

  1. 01

    NDA

We sign a mutual NDA before anything is shared. It covers the samples and everything that follows.

  2. 02

    Samples

You share 2 or 3 sample documents, anonymized on request, so we can see what the collection looks like.

  3. 03

    Fit check

We assess whether the material is what we are looking for and give you feedback.

  4. 04

    Sizing

You give us a view of the collection, file count and types, through screenshots, a short walkthrough or an AI prompt run on your own machine.

  5. 05

    Quote

We quote the total deal size for the whole archive. Nothing beyond the samples has left your machine at this point.

  6. 06

    Agreement

Once you accept the price, we sign the licensing agreement and you send the files through Google Drive or Box.

  7. 07

    Payout

Payment by wire, usually within 10 days of the intro call.

Your side

1 to 3 hours in total, mostly sharing samples and sizing the archive.

Our side

Assessment, quote, redaction and licensing, at no cost to you.

Redaction and security

Every document is anonymized, verified, and never published.

  1. 01

    Automated screening

Proprietary software removes client, counterparty and personnel identifiers, deal code names, logos and document footers.

  2. 02

    In house review

Every redaction is checked by full time financial professionals who previously worked at investment banks and PE funds.

  3. 03

    Residual PII check

Each masked page is checked again for text and visual residue before a document is accepted. A fail sends it back.

  4. 04

    Accepted and licensed

Only documents that pass are licensed. They are never published and are used only for research and training.

Controlled systems

Materials are reviewed on Longitude Labs managed systems and approved cloud services operating on our behalf.

Need to know access

Access is limited to the people who require it for review.

License scope

The license applies only to accepted materials. Rejected materials are never used.

Verified deletion

Rejected materials are securely deleted within 30 calendar days, verified through system records and periodically audited.

Common questions

Do I have to share the full archive before I know the price?

No. A quote only needs 2 or 3 samples and an inventory of the archive, which you can produce with an AI prompt on your own machine. The inventory contains no confidential information.

Will our firm or its clients be identifiable?

No. Client and counterparty names, matter numbers, deal code names, bank details, registry numbers and similar identifying information are removed before a document is accepted.

What happens to the documents?

Accepted materials are used only for research and training. They are never published. Rejected materials are deleted within 30 days.

Can I see the redacted versions?

Yes. We can send you a selection of the redacted versions of your documents.

Who is eligible?

Firms and professionals who own their documents or have the right to share them, consistent with any confidentiality obligations they owe. All submissions go through an eligibility review.

Next step

Start with two or three sample documents.

We assess samples at no cost and reply within days. An NDA covering the samples can be signed first, and the samples can be anonymized if you prefer. You receive the price for the whole archive before you send it.
